23rd London WALKIES - Stoke Newington to Olympic Park

The London WALKIES are friendly, informal, social walks in and around London to which everyone (especially human pups and owners or handlers) is welcome. Walks are typically held once a month and usually cover about 6-7 miles, normally ending up at a pub. There is no dress code, but you're more than welcome to turn up in leather, rubber, plushy pup kit etc. according to weather and inclination. Of course, leads and collars are recommended for responsible pup walkers.
The 23rd London WALKIES on Saturday 21st November 2015 will be an approximately 8km walk from Stoke Newington station to the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, mostly along the Capital Ring Walk and the River Lee Navigation.
We will meet at Stoke Newington railway station at 13:00. London Overground services from Liverpool Street should be running, so either the 12:30 or 12:45 trains from Liverpool Street should get there on time. From Stoke Newington station, the route follows section 13 of the Capital Ring Walk ( https://tfl.gov.uk/modes/walking/stoke-newington-to-hackney-wick ). The start of the walk is along streets until we reach Springfield Park ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Springfield_Park_(London) ). From the park, the route follows the towpath of the River Lee Navigation past the Middlesex Filter Beds ( https://www.visitleevalley.org.uk/en/content/cms/nature/nature-reserve/waterworks-nature-reserve-midd/#middlesex-filter-beds ) and our local stone circle, 'Ackney 'Enge (officially a sculpture "Nature's Throne" by Paula Haughney - pictures at http://www.paulahaughney.co.uk/gallery/public-commissions ). As it will be a Saturday afternoon, the Hackney Marshes football pitches may be lacking "scenery" in footy kit (if you like that sort of thing...).
I haven't quite settled on a route once we cross the footbridge (pawbridge?) from Hackney Marshes into Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park ( http://www.queenelizabetholympicpark.co.uk/the-park/plan-your-visit/interactive-park-map ), but approximately following the River Lea through the park towards the stadium seems like a reasonable start.
